Which of the seven deadly sins (greed/lust/gluttony/pride/wrath/sloth/envy) is your favorite?

When you say "favorite," you make it sound like sin is a good thing. It's probably not as bad as the religious make it sound, but to favor a sin doesn't sound like the most intelligent thing to do. Of course people sin. It's our nature, to find ways to destroy ourselves and each other. That doesn't mean we should give into it or accept it. No, beating ourselves up over our mistakes isn't the best thing either (in fact, I would count that as wrath against the self), but we should strive for virtue as much as possible.

That being said, lust is the most confusing concept for me. What is it exactly? It can't just be desire, sexual or otherwise, because desire is good. So when does it stop being desire and start being lust? When it becomes obsessive? When I can care less who I hurt, as long as I get whatever it is I desire, whether it be a person when it comes to sexual desire or a concept like power. I guess greed, then, would be like lust, only with material things. And envy would be when it's lusting after something someone else has? I think that sounds right.

The sin I think I have the worst problem with is wrath. It's something I'm pretty sure I got from my dad. We both have a bad temper, and we both beat ourselves up when we make a mistake. I think he's worse with the self-loathing, though. Anyway, I'm that kid who's most likely to get into a fight with someone over something stupid. I got suspended once for giving this guy a bloody nose. He called my brother a fag, just because he likes to write poetry. First of all, you're trying to insult my brother, who, by the way, is very, very straight. Second, you're using a sexual orientation as an insult, and assuming the stereotype of the gay male is true. Shame on you, mean boy. You deserve your bloody nose.
